WireCast for Beginners Video Series: An Introduction To Live Broadcasting and Video Streaming

WireCast for Beginners Video Series

For many educational podcasters and school districts, the opportunity to produce a high-quality live video that can be streamed to any number of outlets is extremely desirable.  In this WireCast for Beginners Video Series: An Introduction To Live Broadcasting and Video Streaming, we are going to take a look at one of the more popular broadcasting applications, Telestream Wirecast, and demonstrate how it can be useful in your studio or school building.  If you have any questions about this application or would like to ask a question, please leave us a comment below or tweet to us @PodcastingToday.

One of my favorite apps to talk about is Wirecast from Telestream.  I discovered Wirecast back in 2012 while searching for solutions to live broadcast my TechEducator Podcasts.  Since then, all of my broadcasts have been recorded through this amazing software.

If you are looking to bring live video streaming into your educational podcasting studio or film club, please continue reading our WireCast for Beginners Video Series: An Introduction To Live Broadcasting and Video Streaming.

Summary

If you are a podcaster, religious organization, school district, or musical organization interested in streaming live video quickly and easily, the NEW Wirecast Version 9 is my recommendation. Wirecast is one of the applications that not only do I use just about every day for live broadcasts, but I have also included it in my workflow when doing screencast tutorials and chromakey presentations on location. Through Wirecast, you can quickly set up a video shot with multiple cameras and tie them into local or external audio sources for a television-style visual production that rivals anything you see on cable TV today.
