Marcos Navas is a Technology Facilitator for the Union City Board of Education and is a proud advocate of students in his school district and the Union City Summer STEM Camps. Born and raised in Hudson County, you can find him posting tweets on all types of #teched, #3Dprinting, #makered, #designthinking ideas and innovations. Follow Marcos @mrnavas on Twitter.

Marcos was most recently named a NJ PBS Innovator and was part of the first U.S Raspberry Pi Certified Educators cohort. Marcos is a huge fan of the Apple platform and is an Apple Education Trainer. Being an active member in the Maker community, Marcos is passionate about 3D Printing and is an Educational Leader at the Maker Depot Academy in Totowa, New Jersey. He is an ambassador with Polar3D, an ambassador with Morphi App, and founder of Hands on Coding, a set of 3D printed coding blocks set for a near future release. He has spoken and presented at NJEA conferences and events, ISTE, and is part of the NJEA Makerspace group in NJ. After attending a few Edcamps, the idea of an EdcampUrban as a way to offer urban educators an opportunity to experience this type of PD quickly encouraged him to spread the idea.
