The Educational Podcast Directory

The Educational Podcast Directory is designed to be the best way for teachers to search for and discover new podcasts and podcasters.

Have you ever found yourself searching the educational categories of your favorite podcasting app only to find that the large majority of the shows are anything BUT educational?  Are you searching for a great new guest for your own podcast but aren't sure where to look outside of Twitter?

For the last few months, several podcasters have been discussing this very topic and we are taking steps to create a brand new resource for the educational podcasting community and we want YOU to be a part of it.

What is the EDU Podcasters Directory?

The EDU Podcasters Database will be a crowdsourced project where podcasts specifically created by educators can be featured and focused so they can be seen in the K-12 podcasting world. There are several advantages to adding your show to this database.

  1. The database is being created in a way that it can then be embedded on a variety of websites and online spaces providing maximum visibility of your show and your content.
  2. With more and more educators getting into the podcasting space, it's difficult to find great shows to listen to.  EDU Podcasters Database will help create a place to search and find additional content for you to learn from each week.
  3. Sponsors in the K12 space often contact TeacherCast seeking educational podcasters to partner with.  By adding your show to the database, you have the opportunity to be seen by those seeking to be noticed on educational podcasts ... just like yours!
  4. Any podcaster who adds their show to the list will have exclusive access to the full database (beyond what is published) giving you the opportunity to make a deeper connection with other educational podcasters.

How Do I Get My Podcast on the EDU Podcasters Directory?

To get your show featured on EDU Podcasters Database, simply fill out our Google Form on the bottom of this page.  Once your show is added to the public list, we will notify you and send you links to share the database with your audience so they can then search for additional EDU Podcasts.

How Can I Support The EDU Podcasters Directory?

The only way that this project can grow is with your help.  In order to make this project become something of legend, please share this link with anyone you know who is either creating podcasts in the classroom with their students or podcasting at home as a side hobby.  EDU Podcasters Database is being designed to connect not just "studio podcasters" but those who are using podcasts in their schools to perhaps connect their classrooms to each other.

How Will My Podcast Be Displayed?

Where we are still working on the final version of the database, below is an example of what your podcast might look like once we launch the application.

What Can I Do If I Run A Podcasting Company Or Application?

If you are someone who works for or operates a company in the educational podcasting category we would love to speak with you and learn how we can work together to grow this database into something really special.  After all, this database will be filled with educators who would LOVE to learn about your product and be helpful in sharing your brand with others.  Please contact me today and let's discuss what we can do together.

Thank You For Supporting This Project!

With more than 700,000 podcasts (and growing) on the Apple Podcasts Directory, it's safe to assume that there are at least 50,000 educators who are doing something in the podcasting field.  EDU Podcasters Database is being designed to help us find each other and support each other.

Thank you for taking the time to share your podcast with the database and I look forward to learning from all of you.
