Can Your Apple Computer Really Teach You How To Read?

Are you looking for a great way to teach reading in your school? Are you interested having your students be engaged in online learning?  How about asking students to write a book that their computer reads back to them?

Thanks to the new iBooks app on Apples OS X Mavericks (or higher), you can now teach your students how to create and learn from online books and textbooks.

  • Step 1: Install Mavericks onto your MAC or Apple Laptop
  • Step 2: Open up iBooks app and select a book
  • Step 3: Highlight some text in the book and right click.
  • Step 4: Select START READING

Apple's macOS operating system has a built-in text reader.  This function is great for students learning to read or need help sounding out words on a screen.
