What is the MIE Program? In a word … it's a FAMILY!
For the last 6 years, I have been a proud member of the Microsoft Innovative Educator family. It has been one of the best professional communities that I have ever been a part of and it has allowed me and my students to experiences that I could never have imagined.
I would love to take a moment today and invite YOU, in fact, your entire school to become either an MIE or Showcase School this summer. Applications are now available but will be closing very soon on July 15.
Luckily for you, it's pretty simple to self-nominate yourself for the program.
How To Apply For The #MIEExpert Program
Create a Highlight Sway with the following information:
- Screenshot of badges on the Microsoft Educator Community (make sure you have your MIE Expert 2018-2019 badge and Certified MIE badge!)
- Attach your Training Transcript PDF (courses you have completed) from the Microsoft Educator Community
- Screenshot of training tracker indicating number of people trained and reported in the MEC Trainer Dashboard (from July 1, 2018 – date of submission
- Describe a person/s you have brought into the MIE community this year and provide details
- Describe all special MIE events you have participated in this year such as (include photos/links/tweets as evidence):
- MIE Expert and Showcase School Leader Summits
- Hack the Classroom/Skype-a-thon/TweetMeets
- Conferences attended
- Presenting at conferences or on MIE call
- Regional events/meetups you have attended/hosted
- Host self-coordinated training for other educators/MIE Community members (MIEs, MIE Experts, Showcase School)
- Anything else that demonstrates your work with the MIE community
Once you have completed your Sway, submit your “anyone can view link” on the self-nomination form by going to http://aka.ms/mienomination.
