TeacherCast Launches New Experience to Help Teachers Bring Podcasting into the Classroom!

Do you want to bring Educational Podcasting into your classroom this year?

Are you searching for engaging activities to do with your students?

If the answer is YES to any either of these questions, I am proud to announce today the launching of a brand new section of TeacherCast dedicated to helping YOU learn about Podcasting with your Students.

Starting today, PodcastingWithStudents.com will be the new home for all of our classroom podcasting content, both written and visual that focuses on how you can turn your classroom into a global publishing studio. This project has been something that I've been wanting to do for quite some time and I'm excited to share it with you.

What can I find at PodcastingWithStudents.com?

PodcastingWithStudents.com was created around the entire classroom podcasting experience.  The site is currently launching with just a small handful of posts, podcasts, and video tutorials and will be expanding with additional content over the summer.

The website is broken down into a few informational sections:

Podcasting Activities with Students

In this section, you can find a variety of lesson plans and other engaging activities that your students can do with educational podcasts.

Classroom Podcasting Equipment

The first question that I often get when it comes to podcasting with students is about the different types of equipment that are available and of course … how much does it cost.  In this section, we will be breaking down this topic to help you and your budget create the best learning experience for your students.

Simple Recording & Editing Tips

Podcasting with Students should be a fun activity not a mind-numbing experience where a student sits behind an editing application for hours.  In this section, we will take a look at the best ways to take your raw recordings and make them digital masterpieces.

Sharing Your Podcast with your School Community

For many of us, podcasts are a way to showcase what is great about our schools.  In this section, we will be learning how to bring audio and video into our communities to so we can share and showcase what is great about our learning labs!

Educational Podcasting Applications

No matter if you are on an iPad, Chromebook, or other type of device, apps are often both intimidating and expensive.  In this section, we will be breaking down our favorite apps and giving you step-by-step directions for how to include them into your classrooms the easy way.

Creating a Website for your Educational Podcast

Every podcast needs a home… right?  In this section, we will be taking a look at various ways that you can present your podcast to your community.

Spiderman Reading TeacherCast

Is That All There Is?

Certainly not!

While I am excited to show you this new classroom podcasting resource, I am also excited because this is just the beginning.  Over the next few weeks, we will be adding several new features to the site along with dozens of new blog posts and podcasts.
