What happens when you combine the power of Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality and the creativity of the students in your classroom?
For the last several years, I have had the opportunity and privilege to get to know the team at zSpace. zSpace is a powerful AR/VR platform that allows students to harness the power of creativity to get a very unique hands-on experience like anything I have ever seen in the edtech space.
Year after year, the team at zSpace has amazed me at how they are not only pushing this cutting-edge technology forward but how they are able to package it with a fantastic curricular experience for students of all ages. Three years ago, the team literally had me in teachers when they took me for a tour of the human body. Last year, they showcased a Career and Technical Education application that allowed students to virtually perform complex skills that traditionally only a mechanic in an expensive body shop could perform.
What's New in 2018?
This year at the ISTE Conference, the team was showcasing a brand new hardware solution called the zSpace Laptop that combines all of the elements of AR and VR to create a mobile learning experience an extremely engaging experience for students.
Curricular Learning for All Ages
Built into this powerful learning laptop comes several applications designed to inspire the creativity in your students. Two of these apps, Human Anatomy, and Geogebra provide higher level high school students with the visual and technical tools needed to get ahead of the curve when it comes to college readiness.
All of these great apps are supported by dozens of K12 learning resources for educators supporting subjects in and out of the STEM fields.
